Frozen “Yogurt” Bark

The simpilist of snacks to cool you off in the summer.  

What You May Need

Coconut Yogurt

Cinnamon

Vanilla

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups Coconut Yogurt

3 Strawberries, quartered

1/2 cup Blueberries

1/4 cup Granola or preferred topping

 

 

Instructions:

    1) Line a muffin tin with liners

    2) Spoon 2 TBSP of yogurt into each cup, spreading evenly along the bottom

    3) Top each with starwberries and blueberries and a sprinkle of granola

    4) Freeze for at least 2 hours or until solid

    5) Enjoy!

    What is Yogurt?

    Yogurt has been around for around 5,000 years. However yogurt wasn’t commercially produced until 1919, in Barcelona, Spain.

    Yogurt, including most coconut yogurt on the market, contain live and active cultures contains bacterial cultures that boost the immune system and keep the digestive system young and robust.

    Benefits of Coconut Yogurt:

    Yogurt with live and active cultures raises “good” cholesterol/HDL levels, making sure the arteries stay funtioning youthfully.

    Coconut yogurt is a good source of bone-building calcium with between 25 and 30 percent of the daily value in each 6-ounce serving. 

    Much of the saturated fat in coconut yogurt is in the form of medium-chain triglycerides, which can help control weight, reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and boost immunity.
